Plastic bottles can be seen everywhere in people’s life, it is very convenient for people’s life, and it is always indispensable in daily life. Such as our common shampoo bottles, shower gel bottles, hair conditioner bottles, hand soap bottles, detergent bottles, detergent bottles, etc.. If there is no plastic bottle, it will cause great inconvenience. Although plastic bottles are so important to us, but few people know how it is produced, below I will introduce several common processes of plastic bottles.
Common plastic bottle production process are the following: one is blow molding, one is injection molding.
Blow molding: blow molding is divided into two types, the first is extrusion blow
It is widely used in the production and processing of PE, PP, PS, PETG, EVA and other materials, and can do more complex shapes of hollow plastic products. Its production process is: first, the plastic pellets (raw materials) are heated with a bottle blowing machine, extruded from the die like a hollow tube of plastic (soft, very hot), intercepted a section into the mold, with high-pressure air blow molding, to be slightly cooled, the mold is opened, the production of bottles is complete. At the end, we need to remove the excess corners (also known as water mouth material), so that we can get the finished product. This uninterrupted plastic production process is called “extrusion and blowing”.
The second type of blow molding process is: injection and pull blowing
It is widely used in the production and processing of PET, PC, PP, PCTG, PS, AS and other materials. The one-step method is to complete the injection molding and blow molding process on one machine, which is suitable for products with large volume, generally more pharmaceuticals, PE, PET, PP, PC and other materials can be used. We commonly use cosmetic bottles, beverage bottles and other PET bottles are mainly “two-step” processing, that is, the first injection molding machine into the bottle blank, and then blowing machine into hollow blow molding products. The first step is to inject the bottle blank, and the second step is to blow mold the bottle, so it is called the 2-step method. “Injection blowing” produced bottles are characterized by: the mouth and bottom of the bottle is relatively smooth without obvious burr phi, so it is more suitable for high-grade products than the “extrusion blowing process” produced bottles.
Injection molding is relatively simple. Injection molding is one of the most widely used processes in plastic processing. It is based on the principle of melting the material, injecting it directly into the mold with high pressure, and then cooling it to get the product we want. Most of our lids, pump heads, nozzles and covers are produced by injection molding process, of course, injection molding products are the most used in life, lids these are only a very small part of them.
There are many other production processes for plastic products, and we can choose which one to use according to our needs and product characteristics.
